A thin plate normally in the shape of a disk with a hole in the middle is called as a washer. It used to distribute the load on a fastener such as a brass screw or a bolt. Brass Washers are disks of metal or non-metallic material placed beneath a nut, an axle bearing, or a joint, to relieve friction, prevents leakage, isolate, prevent loosening or distribute pressure. There are many different types of brass washers and washer type products for a variety of applications.
